Pierre Gonalons is a product and interiors designer based in Paris. Born and raised in Lyon with an Italian cultural background, he developed in his early years a fluent understanding of French heritage and an Art historical awareness.

A Camondo school graduate in 2002, Pierre Gonalons founded his creative studio shortly after graduation and very quickly established a singular vision of Design and space. He employs minimal design mixed with references to the decorative arts of numerous cultures. His creations have settled between simplicity and the spectacular, while revealing subtle interpretations of the subjects he engages and remaining faithful to the essence of their origin, which is his signature stroke. A focus on material and expression through controlled craftsmanship is considered a source of inspiration. Beyond simple function, the object must convey contemporary thought and a sincere message.

Pierre Gonalons founded ASCÈTE in 2004, his first design production firm, for which he has designed numerous collections of lighting, furniture and interior objects. Pierre Gonalons Studio has been collaborating in product design with prestigious houses such as Lalique, Pierre Frey, Pernod, Puig Luxury and Paradisoterrestre. He designs for galleries such as Galerie Yves Gastou (Paris), Twenty First Gallery (New York) and jewellery for Galerie Minimasterpiece (Paris). Since 2015, he has designed private, residential interiors in France and abroad while employing his favorite materials – marble, bronze and concrete. Since 2017 he has been creative director of Paradisoterrestre (Bologna), designing furniture for the re-launch of this historic brand, which was presented during the last two Salone del Mobile in Milano.

Lastly, Pierre Gonalons Editions launched in 2016 and proposes his most focused formal research. Pierre Gonalons has mixed Pop culture with classical inspirations to produce works of furniture, lighting and objects, edited in limited editions and made from rare, precious materials.
